It’s official. We are old. Not quite decrepit yet, but certainly aged.
June 1st marked the third anniversary of Espen, Gordon and Bart’s decision to open their own web agency. Based on their shared love of all things ape, Primate has continued to go from strength to strength over the past year.
To kick things off, our office troop has expanded! Again! As a result, we had to move premises, and have made ourselves at home in our shiny new office since getting the keys in September. Over the course of our third year of existence, we’ve gained a new designer (Steve) last July, and myself (Sarah) as an Account Manager, the newest member of the team. *Waves*
Speaking as the newbie, who has come from a much more corporate environment to here (I still can’t get used to wearing my converse to work!), I can honestly say that seeing the guys being able to do what they love makes Primate a great place to work. Their creativity still blows my tiny monkey brains out…. but I’m working on it!
Anyhoo… Given that I’ve not been here for the past year in it’s entirety, I thought the best way to sum up our third year was to ask the whole team what they thought their biggest achievements have been.
Espen: “Moving into our new office was a big one, hiring Steve and Sarah, and winning bigger clients (especially CoPro, my fellow Norwegians) have been the highlight of my year.”
Bart: “Biggest thing of this year…. I get some weekends off….?”
Chris: “My favourite part of the year was being made into a PoetryZoo superhero… The launch of PoetryZoo really has to be up there as a highlight of last year. It was fun to watch the website come alive as people started to signup and add their poetry.”
Steve: “Better late than never, my highlights of the past year are joining Primate (I’ll have been here one year in July), moving offices, and company days out. These have been pretty fun and a good chance to break out of the office (Basketball/ Bowling etc). I’ve also really enjoyed taking the lead on a couple of large projects e.g. Cobalt Park
So, there you have it. The Primate baby has certainly grown over the past year, and we can’t wait to see what the next one brings us either!
